taA are currently working on this contemporary extension in a Conservation Area in Nottinghamshire. The proposed extension will add a dining and living space, allowing the existing kitchen to be opened out into the existing dining area to make a much larger kitchen with a pantry and a utility room. Part of the dwelling was originally an outbuilding belonging to the adjoining Grade II listed c.18th Century house. The existing dwelling has been extended over the course of its history. This latest proposed extension is contemporary but sympathetic in its design. The proposal has taken a contemporary twist on many of the building original features such as exposed timbers and coped gables. Part of the existing loft will also be converted to add two bedrooms and a bathroom. The proposal will be submitted for Planning Permission shortly.
